Dr. Gordon to be Guest on TV Program Doctors on Call

Pratt Regional Medical Center and the South Central Kansas Bone and Joint Center are pleased to announce Scott Gordon, DPM will appear as a guest health care provider on the Smoky Hill Public Television award-winning show, Doctors on Call.

Dr. Gordon is a Podiatrist at the South Central Kansas Bone and Joint Center. The 30 minute program will air on February 18, 2014 at 7 PM on the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) channel. It will re-air on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at 3:30 PM. Doctors on Call is a live call-in television show featuring Kansas physicians and health care professionals discussing health-related topics.

The show can be viewed beyond the television viewing area by visiting www.shptv.org and clicking on “Watch Smoky Hills Public TV Live” on Tuesday nights at 7 PM.

Dr. Gordon came to Pratt and the South Central Kansas Bone and Joint Center last summer (2013) from Alamogordo, NM where he completed a year-long lower extremity trauma and reconstruction fellowship.  He attended medical school in Glendale, Arizona where he graduated with honors. Following medical school, he completed three years of surgical residency training at the Carl T Hayden Veterans Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona where he served as chief resident. During his time in Phoenix he received training in rear foot and ankle reconstructive surgery with special training in diabetic limb salvage.

Dr. Gordon attended Northern Arizona University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Throughout his experience and training, Dr. Gordon has actively performed research in his field of medicine and is a published author in medical journals. He has also developed a particular passion for surgery and strives constantly to perfect his techniques as well as further his education, understanding and expertise.

Aside from science and medicine, Dr. Gordon enjoys driving, fixing and restoring automobiles. He stays physically active through running and has completed a triathlon. Dr. Gordon volunteers his free time on a regular basis at church and as a leader in the Boy Scouts of America. He also loves spending time with his wife and 5 children.

The 2014 season of Doctors on Call began in January and will run through early May. The show is underwritten by a number of organizations to include KaMMCO, BCBS of Kansas, and several western Kansas hospitals.

The show is filmed live at a TV station in Bunker Hill, Kansas.
